Constructive Interference

Constructive Interference was a collaborative interactive musical performance between John Park and the band Medium Troy, performed at the Hult Center for Performing Arts in Eugene, OR on 3/31/13 & 4/1/13. By routing three individual mic feeds from three musicians and performing a real-time analysis of their instruments, algorithmic visuals responded to the pitch and amplitude of the live performers. The title is borrowed from a property of physics wherein two waves, when in collision, sometimes create a greater force, as opposed to canceling the force of one another.
